Team

The Senior Citizens Home at Kongba stands as a beacon of compassion and unwavering dedication, lovingly crafted by the Ima Leimarel Women Welfare Association (ILWWA). Since its founding in 1986, under the noble banner of the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1960, ILWWA has woven a tapestry of service and care, officially registered as number 378 (Imp) of 1986 (M). This esteemed NGO, with its deep roots and heartfelt mission, has continually embraced the vulnerable, offering solace and support.

Nestled in the tranquil embrace of Kongba, this sanctuary shines as a refuge for elderly women who have journeyed through life without the comfort of familial support. Here, amid the serene surroundings, the home offers a safe harbor for those aged 60 and above, who have faced life’s storms alone. The facility is a haven where the twilight years are met with dignity, and every resident receives tender, personalized care.

At present, this cherished abode is home to 25 senior women, each of whom is enveloped in a cocoon of love and attention. Their days are filled with gentle care and understanding, a testament to the home’s unwavering commitment to creating a nurturing environment. In this place, each individual finds not just a shelter, but a community where their lives are honored, their stories cherished, and their needs tenderly met.

The staff at the Senior Citizens Home are a critical component of its success. They include well-trained multitasking individuals who bring a range of skills to their roles. From providing personal care to managing daily activities and ensuring a friendly atmosphere, each staff member plays a pivotal role in the residents’ lives. Their dedication and compassion are evident in the quality of care provided and the positive environment maintained.

We are dedicated to creating a nurturing and supportive environment for senior women, where they are valued and respected for their unique contributions.
